there is a box next to my legs

the nurse keeps taking things from it

explaining to me what each thing does

but i�m not sure she�s explaining to me as much as she�s telling herself

how to complete the box

and finish all the tests

the necessary tests

and i can�t believe i�m remembering it

now that i�m 24

and i was 18

once

it�s only been 4 years

my god it�s only been four years

and i�ve lived so many lives in the time

i�ve done so much

to myself

and others

but maybe that�s why i watch these shows

to remember

and think about what it was like
