*your laughing with me in a bar. One beer two beers, three and a few pogs two for one *we are laughing with everyone else in the bar as they are all our friends now.

we are standing in a bathroom together. two maybe three bars later than your usual haunt.

*we are meeting people but for now we are just meeting each other in the bathroom staring at each other in the light

you are escorting me making me feel once again like there is an us until I find myself in a taxi alone being questioned by the driver asking me what I am doing alone, at night in this neighborhood

i tell him I do not know

and i note again, like I have in earlier times in my life, that being in a cab only takes me further away from what I know to be home
